Former Speaker and Member of Parliament Asoka Ranwala has been hospitalized after his jeep was involved in a head-on crash with a car. The accident took place last night (11) in the Denimalla area of Sapugaskanda, according to police reports. A 25-year-old woman, her six-month-old baby, and her 55-year-old mother, who were in the car, were injured and are now receiving treatment at a hospital. The infant was later moved to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children for specialized care. Asoka Ranwala, who was in the jeep, also suffered injuries and has been admitted to Ragama Hospital. Along with the damaged jeep and car, a motorcycle involved in the accident has been taken by police for further investigation. The Sapugaskanda Police are looking into the details of the incident.
