The Cabinet has approved the proposal to develop the Marine Drive from the Kollupitiya Railway Station to Dehiwala under the theme ‘Marine Nights, Awakening Colombo’, Cabinet Spokesman and Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said today.
He told the weekly breifing to announce Cabinet decisions that a Cabinet Paper was presented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister, seeking approval to develop a sterch of 7.4 kms on the Marine Drive from Kollupitiya Railway Station to Dehiwala.
The Minister said more attention is expected to be paid to develop the strech of 400 metres from the end of the Galle Face to S. Thomas primary school.
