At least eleven people have died after a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus plunged into a precipice in the Garandiella area of Ramboda on the Nuwara Eliya–Gampola main road this morning (May 11).
According to police, more than 35 passengers were injured in the crash and are being rushed to hospital for treatment.
The bus was reportedly en route from Kataragama to Kurunegala via Nuwara Eliya at the time of the accident.
