LNP – MegaPay’s Pay&Go directly integrates with LECO to revolutionise bill payments

MegaPay’s Pay&Go platform has already transformed payment behaviour across the country with over 1,000 active digital kiosks and a widely used mobile app. Designed with user convenience in mind, the Pay&Go app allows customers to settle a wide range of payments—from utility bills to mobile reloads—in just a few taps.

In a significant move to enhance Sri Lanka’s digital payments landscape, MegaPay, shaping the future in fintech, has announced a direct integration between its flagship product Pay&Go and the Lanka Electricity Company (LECO). This integration empowers Pay&Go app and kiosk users with the ability to view their electricity bill outstanding balances and receive real-time updates immediately after making payments—delivering a seamless and transparent customer experience.

This digital transition introduces a new level of efficiency in bill payments. By integrating Pay&Go’s technology, users now enjoy real-time visibility and instant payment confirmations, significantly reducing payment errors and delays. Pay&Go is planning to install dedicated kiosks at selected LECO service locations as part of its onground support for this transition. These machines offer an easy and efficient walk-in option for customers who prefer in-person transactions, making digital access inclusive and widely available.

“This business collaboration is a testament to our mission of making digital payments faster, smarter, and more accessible,” said Pay&Go Director Vardan Aslibekyan. “We’re proud to work with LECO in driving the digital transformation of public utilities and improving the everyday lives of citizens across the country.”

LECO Chairman Eng. Janaka Aluthge stated: “This initiative supports LECO’s ongoing commitment to modernise and digitise our operations for the benefit of our consumers. With Pay&Go’s technology, we are able to offer more convenience, faster processing, and better service delivery.” LECO GM Dr. Narendra de Silva said: “In an era where digitalisation is the way of business, LECO is very happy to see Pay&Go has developed a deep integration with the LECO digital platform in enabling full transparency for payments by our customers.”

This initiative reflects Pay&Go’s broader commitment to transforming how Sri Lankans interact with Government institutions. With ongoing efforts to integrate more public sector services into its platform, Pay&Go said it is leading the charge in creating a digitally empowered nation—where paying your bills is no longer a hassle, but a smooth and connected experience.
