The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested an associate of former State Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias ‘Pillayan’ over the incident of the disappearance of an University Vice Chancellor in the Eastern Province in 2006, the police said.
The former State Minister was also arrested by the CID on April 08 in Batticaloa, in connection with the same incident.
