The Meteorology Department forecasts fluctuating temperatures, with hot days and cooler nights for the next three days, starting tomorrow, according to Duty Meteorologist Malith Fernando.
A few showers are possible in the Batticaloa, Ampara, Matale, Badulla and Polonnaruwa districts, while mainly fair weather will prevail across the rest of the island. Evening or nighttime showers may occur in the Galle, Matara, Kalutara and Ratnapura districts.
Misty conditions are likely in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central Provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Badulla, and Kurunegala districts during the morning.
Showers are expected in the sea areas from Trincomalee to Hambantota via Batticaloa, while fair weather will persist in other sea regions around the island.
Winds will be north-easterly, with speeds reaching up to 35 km/h, potentially increasing to 50 km/h in the sea areas off the coasts from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota. These areas may experience fairly rough sea conditions at times.
