LNP – Showers expected in Northern, North-Central, Eastern Provinces, Matale

Showers may occur in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern Provinces and in the Matale district, the Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre said.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern North-Western and Uva Provinces and in the Nuwara-Eliya and Kandy districts during the evening or night.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva Provinces during the morning.

The public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
