LNP – ‘Cardinal’ only used to polish the floor: ’Pastor’ Jerome

Pastor’ Jerome Fernando recently shared a nostalgic Facebook post recalling the role of the ‘Cardinal’ brand in his childhood Christmas traditions.

He fondly remembered how his mother would use the ‘Cardinal’ brand to give their home floors a gleaming shine during the Christmas season.

He even admitted to hopping onto his mother’s cleaning brush as she scrubbed, turning her hard work into a playful joyride until she finally gave up.

“The Christmas season brings me nostalgic memories. My mother would often polish our home floor using this brand especially during Christmas. It was good for the FLOOR. I took the opportunity to hop onto my mother’s brush as she took to the floor, to and fro I would go hoping my dear mother would never stop, but I tired her out and she finally did stop laughing. May this Christmas season bring you and your family long lasting beautiful nostalgic memories for the future,” he said.

Recently, Jerome Fernando made headlines when he was ordained as a Bishop during a ceremony held at the Miracle Dome in Katunayake.

However, in a religious sermon Cardinal Malcom accused those claiming to be Bishops of engaging in a project to mislead the people. “The troubling thing is that educated and wealthy individuals have become the victims of this particular person who claims to be a Bishop. He is running a scam. Not only that, but he is also conducting a campaign to insult other religious groups. Recently, he attempted to offend Buddhists by dressing someone in a manner similar to a Buddhist monk and presenting it as though he was trying to cure him. He has become a tool for creating religious discord,” the Cardinal said.

The Catholic Bishops Conference in Sri Lanka also clarified that Pastor Jerome Fernando was not a Bishop of the Catholic Church, and therefore the members of its church should not be deceived.
