LNP – RW praises AKD

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe commended his successor Anura Kumara Dissanayake for deciding to proceed with the Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement with India.

“I commend President Anura Kumara Dissanayake for moving forward with the Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement and the development of Trincomalee as a regional energy and industrial hub,” Wickremesinghe said in a special statement.

“The Joint Statement issued by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on December 16, 2024, in New Delhi is a welcome development as it further deepens and strengthens Indo-Lanka cooperation,” the former President added
