LNP – 500-house township to be vested to recipients after 14 years

A township of 500 houses with other facilities such as a hospital and a recreation hall built with assistance from Saudi Arabia way back in 2009 is to be vested with recipients only now.

The houses were built for the benefit of tsunami victims in 2009.

The then Saudi ambassador to Sri Lanka handed over the completed project to the Sri Lankan government to be vested with eligible people .

The current Saudi ambassador to Sri Lanka discussed the matter with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake who agreed to resolve the matter .
