LNP – Poultry farmers to supply eggs to LRH free of charge

Steps are being taken to supply eggs free of charge to Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital for 10 days, All Ceylon Egg Producers Association said.

Its President Sarath Rathnayake said the decision was taken following media reports that there was an acute shortage of egg supply to the hospital.

He also said eggs would be supplied to all hospitals in Colombo at a rate of Rs. 53.

Rathnayake said they would be able to supply eggs to the market at a rate of Rs. 55 by next week.
