Japan and Sri Lanka signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) for Low Carbon Growth Partnership this afternoon (10) at the Presidential Secretariat.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the Secretary Ministry of Environment Dr. Anil Jasinghe and Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Misukoshi Hideki.
Subsequently, the Japanese Ambassador met President Ranil Wickremesinghe and engaged in a cordial discussion.

Japan refused to support us at UN HCR... They are now seeming just money minded, rather than respect how we want to move forward without burden about past issues. How much money they expect to make with getting into low carbon business activity here?
