Top seeded Anjalika Kurera of Sri Lanka kept up to her reputation when qualified to the semi final of the ITF Junior Circuit Week 3 tennis tournament which is in progress now at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo.
Anjalika who in the recent past has had immense success having won two major tennis tournaments her winning trend as she overcame India’s Chandrika Joshi in a tight finish by two sets to one in the quarter final encounter played today (13).
Anjalika in fact won the ITF Junior Circuit Week 1 tournament which was held in Sri Lanka in late April this year. Anjalika will meet fifth seeded Ya Chi Hsu of Taipei scheduled to be played at 9.00 a.m. tomorrow while Yi Chin Wu (Taipei) will confront Jessica Wirahadipoernomo (Indonesia) in the other semi final.
Meanwhile in the boys quarter final encounters played concurrently saw Kai Shiang Yang (Taipei), Hyeoung Jin Kim (Korea), Leroy Yong (Malaysia) and Uddayvir Singh (India) came out victorious to advance to the semi finals which was also be worked off tomorrow.

Yi Chin Wu (Taipei) beat Yuyun Chen (Taipei) 2-1 (6/4, 4/6, 10/5). Jessica Wirahadipoernomo (Indonesia) beat Hsing-Ju Sung (Taipei) 2-0 (7/5, 6/3).
