Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy has been named the Central Bank Governor of the Year for South Asia.
The selection was made by the Global Capital Markets publication.
The Central Bank announced that Dr. Coomaraswamy received the award at the Global Capital Markets Awards ceremony in Washington DC which coincides with the World Bank-International Monetary Fund Annual meetings.
The Central bank noted the award was presented for his unstinting professionalism and simplicity.
