The Urban Development Authority announced that a program will be implemented to transform Narahenpita into a Green City by 2018.
Executive Director of the UDA Sumeda Ratnayake stated that the program will be implemented encompassing a land area of 20 acres.
Additionally it was also reported that four sew housing schemes will be constructed for government professionals.
Reportedly the project has an estimated cost of Rs.10 billion and is to be initiated by the end of the year.
Housing complexes for middle income earners will also be constructed in Borella and Thalawathugoda under this project.
