The Colombo High Court has granted consent to former Mp Tiran Alles to travel abroad for a period of one month.
Ada Derana reporters have confirmed that Tiran Alles has been permitted to travel overseas from September 16, to October 16. The verdict was delivered by High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi.
The High Court also ordered that immigration and emigration officers be informed of Mr.Alles’ temporary travel permission period. It was also decided to resume the hearing of his case on October 20.
A court case was filed against former MP Tiran Alles for misusing Rs.200 million that was provided as relief for the people of the Northern and Eastern regions of the island who were affected by the war and tsunami.
