Police granted Permission to detain and question the two individuals arrested in the Kurana clash

Police were granted permission to detain and question the two suspects arrested during a shootout with STF police at the Negombo – Kurana junction.

Acting Negombo Magistrate K. P. Gunadasa granted authorities granted permission to carry out questioning until the 18th of this month

Two individuals who were injured in the crossfire are receiving treatment at Colombo National Hospital and Ragama Hospital.

A spokesman for Colombo National Hospital said that the suspect admitted to their facility was in critical condition.
