Derana – Anchor VR project wins SLT Zero One Award

Derana Macroentertainment (Pvt) Ltd won the award for “Best Digital-Integrated Campaign” in the Media and Publishing Sector at the SLT Zero One Awards for Digital Excellence.

The award was given for the Derana’s Virtual Reality project depicting the Mahindagamanaya, launched in Anuradhapura on Poson Poya Day in 2016 and sponsored by Anchor.

SLT Zero One Awards ceremony was held today (June 22) at the Hilton Colombo with the participation of Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure, Harin Fernando.

SLT Zero One Awards campaign is the first of its kind in Sri Lanka, created with the sole purpose of recognizing the initiatives of digital innovators and organizations.

The program was launched to recognize institutions, individuals and brands for achievements by leveraging digital technologies thus inviting all Sri Lankans to be a part of this historical event and earn recognition for their work in their respective categories.

A panel of prestigious judges selected from the local and international digital arenas, independently evaluate all entries.

The awards consist of, Best Digital Enabled Product/Service, Best Digital Integrated Campaign, Best Digital Community Empowerment, Best Digital Media Agency of the Year, Best Creative & Interactive Website/Microsite and Best Use of Mobile, while the Individual awards come with, Social Media Personality of the Year, Best use of Digital Media by a Public Figure/Celebrity and Best Software/Application Development.
