Found in 1886 Ananda College was was of the schools in different parts of the country for the higher education of Buddhist Children. The school was named Ananda College after Arahant Ananda, the most devoted disciple of the Buddha. Current student populcation is 7000 from kindergarten to GCE A/Ls.
