Iran threaten to hold the oil supplies to India

TEHRAN (AFP) - Iran has `seriously warned` India that it could halt crude supplies if New Delhi failed to pay overdue payments hampered by international sanctions against Tehran, the oil ministry said Sunday.

`We have seriously warned the Indian side of the possibility to halt oil exports if a solution is not found to clear its arrears,` Fars news agency quoted National Iranian Oil Company managing director Ahmad Ghalebani as saying.

Iran`s state-run company, however, said it was working to maintain its trade with India, which as its second largest client after China absorbs about 20 percent of its crude exports.

COPE to probe SLC

The parliamentary Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) said yesterday it would probe the activities of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) focusing mainly on how it spent Rs.7.19 billion on three cricket stadiums and the payment of Cricket World Cup bonus, legal fees and the sale of tickets.

A highly placed parliament source told Daily Mirror the SLC had not prepared a Corporate Plan, Action Plan or a Budget for this year to be submitted to the Auditor General and to the COPE as required by law but had made a special payment of Rs.14,965,000 to 133 employees as World Cup bonuses.

Patalpani Accident ( Witness the end of another three lives)

Three members of a family were drowned as flash flood caused a sudden flow of water in the famous Patalpani waterfall near Indore.
Patalpani waterfall is a famous picnic spot near Indore, and the Rathi family members, who had gone there to enjoy a quiet Sunday, had no inkling of a disaster awaiting them.
The water current caught all the five people & three of them Chhavi, Chandrashekhar & Mudita downed dead, while local people rescued Mudita`s brother and another youth.
The video was taken by a local tourist Gaurav Patidar.
