Wife is like a TV,
Girlfriend is like a MOBILE .
At home u watch TV,
But when u go out u take your MOBILE.
No money, u sell the TV,
Got money u change your MOBILE.
Sometimes u enjoy TV,
But most of the time u play with your MOBILE.
TV is free for life,
But for the MOBILE , if you don`t pay, the services will be terminated.
TV is big, bulky and most of the time old,
But the MOBILE is cute, slim, curvy and very portable.

Warning from the British Ministry of health about Energy Saving bulbs
These types of bulbs which are called Energy Saving or low Energy bulbs, if broken, cause serious danger!
So much so, that if one breaks, everybody will have to leave the room for at least 15 minutes, because it contains Mercury (poisonous) which causes migraine, disorientation, imbalances and different other health problems, when inhaled.
It causes many people with allergies, severe skin conditions and other diseases just by touching this substance or inhaling it.

A Profound Answer
Thursday, 9 June 2011 - 6:37 PM SL Time

The dinner guests were sitting around the table discussing life.
One man, a CEO, decided to explain the problem with education. He argued, What`s a kid going to learn from someone who decided his best option in life was to become a teacher?`
To stress his point he said to another guest `You`re a teacher, Bonnie. Be honest. What do you make?`
Bonnie, who had a reputation for honesty and frankness replied, `You want to know what I make? (She paused for a second, then began...)

The Saddest Day in Police History
Saturday, 11 June 2011 - 3:38 PM SL Time
|
Twenty one years ago, today, 600 Policemen were murdered in Eastern Sri Lanka in cold blood by the LTTE, on being ordered by the Political Executive of those times to surrender to them.
This manifestation of LTTE savagery, coupled with the stunning opportunism and naivete on the part of Sri Lanka`s political leadership of those times is referred to by Senior-Superintendent of Police (Rtd) Tassie Seneviratne as the `Saddest Day in Police History`, in his recently published book `Human Rights and Policing - Reminiscences of My Police Days`.

KP a Crown Witness
Sunday, 12 June 2011 - 1:40 PM SL Time
|
The government says it will use former LTTE chief arms procurer Kumaran Padmanathan alias KP as a state witness if the need arises.
Government spokesman and media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella told The Sunday Leader that there are provisions in the legal system to use a suspect as a state witness. The Minister said that while KP is now in the custody of the defence ministry he may not end up in court if it is felt that he can further assist the government to crack LTTE overseas operations. He explained that as a `state witness` a suspect can be used by a government to obtain information and investigate the bigger picture.

A WORLD INSIDE BRILLIANT COLORFUL RAINDROPS
Being always amazed by the tiny wonders of tiny world around inspired inquisitive minds to photograph raindrops especially with a handy digital camera.
If you look carefully you can notice these beautiful drops of nature in leaves and flowers before they fall down the plants or get vaporized in the heat of sun-rays. These pretty brilliant macro photos of water drops were taken from plants just after a rain.

Three mischievous old Grannies were sitting on a bench outside a nursing home
When an old Grandpa walked by.
And one of the old Grandmas yelled out saying, `We bet we can tell exactly how old you are.`
The old man said, `There is no way you can guess it, you old fools.`
One of the old Grandmas said, `Sure we can!
Just drop your pants and under shorts and we can tell your exact age.`
Embarrassed just a little, but anxious to prove they couldn`t do it, he dropped his drawers.

Truth about Chencholai camp. Three inmates at the so-called Chencholai `orphanage` as claimed by the LTTE, injured in the August 14 aerial bombing in Mullaitivu and undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kandy, told Police that it was not an orphanage as claimed by the LTTE but a Tiger camp where hundreds of youth were given weapons training. The LTTE media machinery tried to expose to the world that Security Forces had bombed a girls` orphanage where hundreds of school students from various schools in Killinochchi and Mullaitivu were undergoing the 10 day first aid training programme.
