Chennai IT Professionals fast to save fishermen

Chennai, Feb 15 (TruthDive): IT Professionals in Chennai have called for a Hunger strike on Saturday February 19, 2011 to save Tamil Nadu fishermen from Sri Lankan Navy attacks and killings. So far more than 500 Tamil Nadu fishermen had been killed in shooting, torture and other brutal treatment.
The fasting is to be undertaken with the following appeal to Central and State Governments :
1. Declare Palk Straits as a Common Fishing zone for both the countries` fishermen ! Don`t deny the (customary) traditional fishing rights of Tamil Nadu fishermen.
