DNA constituents to back UPFA at LG polls

Leader of the Nava Sihala Urumaya (NSU), Sarath Manamendra said several parties of the Democratic National Alliance, led by former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka, would join forces with the government and they would contest the forthcoming local government polls under the UPFA ticket.
`The government has agreed to accommodate us. We will expose the JVP and their corrupt deals,` Manamendra told a group of journalists at the Parliamentary complex yesterday. He said that he had come there to finalise their agreement with the government members.
