The uniqueness of Eelam Tamil Saivaism. The Eelam Tamils believe Ravanan was a Tamil King and they still remember him in their Temple festivals. The Sinhalese also claim him as a Sinhala but they have nothing to show for it.

The entire Hindu world, mainly the non Tamil Hindus, vilify King Ravanan. For them he was a villain and a bad guy, but for the Eelam Tamils he was a good king, an ardent Saivite, devotee of Siva and above all he was a Tamil. These days some Sinhalass also claim him as a Sinhala to show their antiquity in Sri Lanka. Although that is totally against what is being said about the Sinhala race in the Mahavamsa. Then again, the Sinhalass also don`t believe the stories in the Mahavamsa but they have no shame to use some bits and pieces of the Mahavamsa to claim the ownership of the entire island while ignoring the Mahavamsa`s story of their Kallathoni arrival to Sri Lanka.

A Sinhala maid claims that her Arab master hammered more than 24 nails and needles into her body. The entire world is outraged and demanding justice for this maid but now a Sinhala Physician says `the maid could have nailed herself.`

L.T. Ariyawathi, a Sri Lankan housemaid, was tortured by the man that employed her in Saudi Arabia. He reportedly hammered nails into her body. X-Rays have shown that there were more than 24 nails and needles in her body, and the ones that remain inside of her pose no threat to her well-being. The nails were mostly short, but some were as long as two inches. The surgery was a success, and the woman is currently in recovery, although she has been deeply traumatized by the event. The abuse took place over the course of a full month, and all of the nails were not hammered into her at one time.

On this solemn occasion let us also pay tribute to the victims of STATE TERRORISM.The Sinhala racists are shamelessly using 9/11, the remembrance day of innocent victims,to justify the State Terrorism unleashed on the Tamils from the days of independence

STATE TERRORISM is a system of political domination based on the spreading of terror in society. It is characterized by a systematic and massive criminally repressive policy, implemented by the State agencies. Various non-governmental organizations and individuals have accused the Sri Lankan government of committing state terrorism.
In the 1956 riots against Tamils, Sinhala thugs killed a Tamil child by placing that child into a boiling tar drum. This is just an example to show the evil nature of the Sinhala atrocities. More than 5000 Tamil children have been killed by the aerial bombing, random shelling, torture and shootings by the Sri Lankan state terror forces.

The Tamils have been idnetifying themselves as Ilankai Tamils in the Sri Lankan governemnt documents for decades. Now the Tamil activists are asking to do that in the Diaspora also. I don`t know why some Sinhalass are braying for that.

Even now the Sri Lankan government`s birth certificate and marriage, death and declaration of birth after three months etc have a column for race(saathi). The Tamils fill in this column with `Ilankai Tamil`. The Sri Lankan certificates or other government documents do not ask whether the persons nationality is Sri Lankan. Everything is race based in Sri Lanka. Now the Diaspora activists are asking the Tamils to use the word ILANKAI or EELAM in Tamil instead of SRI LANKA, I don`t know why some Sinhalass are braying for that.

One of the greatest strengths or weaknesses of any Pope is the belief in his `divine` infallibility. One is able to discern the importance given to this infallibility concept in all the media hype surrounding the death of Pope John Paul the second. It was this confidence in Papal infallibility by the previous Pope and like minded faith on the part of followers that contributed greatly towards the authoritative mystique exercised by Karol Wajtyla in his Popish avatar. The infallibility of the Pope is almost sacrosanct in Vatican circles.

KALU -SUDDHA is a common term in Sri Lanka which has the same meaning of Twinkie or Banana in Chinese culture, yellow outside and white inside, or Oreo in the hood, black outside and white inside. Direct translation of Kalu-Suddha would be `black-Caucasian`. An insult to any non-Caucasian fan of Caucasian society or Caucasian ideology. And Anagarika Dharmapala used that word a lot.
ANAGARIKA DHARMAPALA IS A GREAT HERO I LEARNED WHEN I WAS A KID. Or rather they forced me to learn that just like everything else. He was born in a time Sri Lanka was one of the richest countries in Asia and there were rich elite group of locals, who own ships and even received knighthoods. Dharmapala belong to that privileged few. There is nothing wrong with that. It gave him chance to complete his grand tour in Europe and in the New World, and finally joined with a American NGO, goes by the name of Theosophical Society.

The 1000 years anniversary of Thanjavur Temple (1010-2010 A.D) built by the Tamil Emperor Raja Raja the great, the king of Sinhalese and Tamils. Long live the memory of the Great Tamil King Raja Raja the Great.

The Tanjavur(Tamil Nadu) Big Temple (Peria Kovil) is one thousand years old this year - 2010. Raja Raja Chola I, commissioned one of the greatest edifice of Tamil history, and performed the sacred dedication of the temple in the year 1010, the twenty-fifth year of his reign. It was the jewel-in-the-crown of Raja Raja, an extraordinarily powerful king, a grand monarch with a style of his own, a conqueror who also understood art and architecture, and a true devotee of Shiva.
It is a matter of pride that a Tamil king built the finest example of Tamil architecture, stupendous in proportion, yet simple in design. Shiva, in this temple is known as PERUVUDAIYAR (Brihadeeswara in Sanskrit) the lord of the Universe. A gigantic stone lingam fills the sanctum sanctorum, sheltered by a vimanam (towering roof) which pierces the sky at two hundred and sixteen feet. One can gaze with awe at this majestic structure from a distance as one drives towards Tanjavur.

The 1,000-year-old Big Temple, built by the emperor Rajaraja Chola in Thanjavur and regarded as an architectural wonder, was the venue of a spectacular Bharatanatyam performance on Saturday.
As the highlight of the millennium celebration of the temple, a world heritage monument, over 1,000 dancers, predominantly women, led by Padma Subrahmanyam, displayed their talent for about 45 minutes. The performance was meant as a tribute to the Chola emperor and the greatness of the temple that withstood the test of time.

The 1000th anniversary of Raja Rajeswaram in Tamil Nadu, the architectural marvel of Tamils. My tribute to the Emperor Raja Raja the Great, the founder of the architecturally rich city of Polonnaruwa, formerly known as SanaNathapuram, the capital of Tamils

Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka`s second ancient capital, was founded by the South Indian Chola Dynasty in the 10th century AD after conquering Anuradhapura. The new capital was more strategic to the Cholas as it was ideal to counterattack any invasion from the Ruhunu Singhalese Kingdom to the south.
Anuradhapura was superseded by Polonnaruwa as the principal centre of dynastic power in the eleventh century. The Tamil Chola empire which conquered the northern part of Sri Lanka in 1017 A.D. established its capital at Polonnaruwa and held sway over the Dry Zone regions for 53 years until 1070 A. D. Lanka became a province of the Chola empire and Polonnaruwa was renamed sananatha pura. It was at this period that many of the Hindu shrines in the city were erected. Mahinda V. died in captivity in India.

The 1000th anniversary of the Great Temple of Thanjavur Tamil Nadu. Tribute to the Tamil Emperor Raja Raja the Great who hoisted his victorious Tiger flag in all the directions he visited and saved Tamil Thevaram, ancient Tamil literature.

The Thevaram Hymns are a collection of Saivaite Tamil literature which was kept in a secret underground room in the Nataraja temple of Chithambaram for many centuries and was forgotten after the saints Appar,Sambandhar and Sundarar ascended to the abode of Lord Siva. Ten generations later the King Raja Raja Chola became the emperor and strived to find out about the missing Tamil Thevaram Hymns as he was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva and the lover of Tamil language.
The two ancient Sri Lankan Hindu Temples THIRUKETHEESWARAM in Mannar and THIRUKONESWARAM in Trincomalee were also included in Thevarams sung by the Saivite Saints many centuries before Raja Raja the Great in those Palm leaves (Ola suvadi in Tamil ) in that secret shrine.
