CRICKET: Former Royal College, Panadura captain Lindamlilage Prageetha Chamara Silva, better known as Chamara Silva who played for Deccan Chargers in the recent Indian Premier League Tournament, will don the Sri Lanka cap and will play for Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup to be played in Pakistan this month.

Second Jaffna International Trade Fair in January

The second Jaffna International Trade Fair 2011(JITF) is organised by Lanka Exhibition & Conference Services (Pvt) Ltd, a Presidential Award Winning Company in collaboration with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka.

The annual International Trade fair this year is themed as `Open for Business` due to the tremendous growth in Jaffna with the developments being implemented and is now ready for business. JITF is organised in association with the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Yarlpanam supported by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau. JITF is scheduled to be held from 21-23 January 2011 at the Durayappah Stadium, Jaffna.

Mohammed Sally, Mohammed Ghouse, Muttusamy and Rocksamy they form a different music genre in Sri Lanka in its post-independence era. When Maria Kolande Rocksamy better known as M. K. Rocksamy and nicknamed `Rock` died aged 56 on November 30, 1988, in those turbulent days of political upheaval, nobody cared much except his immediate colleagues in the local film and music industry.
