The ICC has approved the creation of a league-style Test Championship and redrawn the lines of one-day cricket as part of an extensive restructuring of the international game that also includes a reduced 50-over World Cup and an enlarged World Twenty20 event. The proposals - laid out by the ICC`s chief executive committee last month - were approved by the board at its meeting in Dubai on Wednesday.

Muttiah Muralitharan has forgiven the umpire Darrell Hair and forgotten the no-ball call that threatened to derail his career. Murali was the victim at the 1995-96 Boxing Day Test but went on to take a record 800 Test wickets before retiring in July.

Virat Kohli hundred sets up Indian victory
The target of 290 appeared to be stiff, especially when India were wobbling at 35 for 2 in the ninth over, but Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh maintained their sang froid to get India close before the adventurous Suresh Raina sealed the win in style. Kohli, in particular, impressed. He not only lost Yuvraj in the 34th over with India still 118 runs adrift of the target but also, by then, was suffering from severe cramps and was forced to bat with a runner. If those hurdles fazed him, he didn`t show it and went on to clinch the game in the company of Raina.
