American medical tests in Guatemala totally not a crime against humanity

US testing that infected hundreds of Guatemalans with gonorrhoea and syphilis more than 60 years ago was a `crime against humanity`, Guatemalan President Alvaro Colom has said.
President Barack Obama has apologised for the medical tests, in which mentally ill patients and prisoners were infected without their consent.
Mr Obama told Mr Colom the 1940s-era experiments ran contrary to American values, Guatemala said. The US has promised an investigation.

Folks, I am sad to say this but it looks like everyone (myself included) has forgotten that the 6th of October was the second death anniversary of the great Major-General Janaka Perera RWP, RSP, VSV, USP- the man who, after entering Jaffna, kissed the sacred soil and made a vow to save it from the demons who were plaguing it.
RIP great one. You were undoubtedly one of Dutugemunu`s Dhasa Maha Yodhayo who returned to save the Thrice Blessed Land once again. May you come back to us for one last turn of sansara after your time in heaven is complete. Ayu rakkhanthu awada.

India below China, Pak in global hunger index
New Delhi: India has been ranked 67, way below neighbouring countries like China and Pakistan, in a new global hunger index by the International Food Policy Research Institute.
The index, released today, rated 84 countries on the basis of three leading indicators prevalence of child malnutrition, rate of child mortality, and the proportion of people who are calorie deficient.

MELBOURNE: A top Australian combat soldier in Afghanistan has warned that the Taliban militants cannot be defeated by military means and called for a fundamental change in strategy, a media report said Sunday.
Brigadier Mark Smethurst says securing Afghanistan could take decades, but success is uncertain without a fundamental change in strategy, The Age reported Sunday.
His critical assessment comes in a report that contrasts sharply with federal government claims of progress in Afghanistan.

Some photographs taken by myself and some friends at the T20 between Sri Lanka and NSW on Wednesday. Hope you guys enjoy them :)
There were definitely more Lankans than Aussies in the crowd. It was a great match, apart from the rain interruption. But even then some of our fellows went to a sheltered section under the grandstand and started dancing and singing `Surangani`, and even a few Aussies joined in the dance. Not surprisingly, there was a couple of drunk morons who were calling Murali a chucker. We got into a `small` argument with them and security promptly kicked them out of the ground hehe. Murali himself fielded for an over near the boundary where we were and he was greeted by screams of adoration.

The LTTE faggots and their white masters in the Greens and other socialist/communist Australian parties have arranged yet another protest aimed at our cricketers during Wednesday`s ODI against Australia in Melbourne. I wouldn`t be surprised if they protested at today`s T20 match in Perth and also at the remaining ODI`s as well.
