The flyover at the Dehiwala junction was ceremoniously opened this morning by His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Seen with the President is the British High Commissioner Dr. Peter Hayes and Ministers Susil Premajayantha, T.B Ekanayake, A.H.M Fowzi, Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga and Secretary to the Ministry of Highways Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda.

The Dubai Cricket Stadium is ready to produce exhilarating cricket. For the first time Dubai will have a world class cricket stadium, which may be become the hub of international cricket due to its strategic location and the presence of the International Cricket Council and their Global Cricket Academy in the same venue at the Dubai Sports City.
A lot of effort had gone into the making of this stadium.
Under the guidance of Tony Hemming, a renowned curator from Australia, they have transformed a desert into a splendid green oasis.

Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene has attributed his players` immediate reaction in taking cover when terrorists attacked their team bus in Lahore to the situation in his country. `We have been brought up in a background of terrorist activities,` Jayawardene said after the squad returned to Sri Lanka late Tuesday night. `We are used to hearing, seeing these things - firing, bombings. So we ducked under our seats when the firing began. It was like natural instinct.`
