Conscious of the world champion South Africans` dented pride, New Zealand coaches and players were quick to downplay the comprehensive nature of their 19-8 win at Westpac Stadium.

Coach Graham Henry will be desperate that the air of vulnerability surrounding his team last week somehow be restored as he can`t expect the Springboks to be so error-prone at Carisbrook.

`My Grandfather`s Clock` is a song written in 1876 by Henry Clay Work, the author of `Marching Through Georgia`. It is a standard of British brass bands and colliery bands, and is also popular in bluegrass music.

Most accounts give the origin of the song as a wayfarers` inn in Piercebridge on the border of Yorkshire and County Durham called the George Hotel. The hotel was owned and operated by two brothers called Jenkins, and in the lobby was an upright longcase clock. The clock kept perfect time until one of the brothers died, after which it lost time at an increasing rate, despite the best efforts of the hotel staff and local clockmakers to repair it. When the other brother died, the clock stopped, never to go again. It is said that in 1875 Henry Clay Work visited the hotel and based My Grandfather`s Clock on the stories he heard there. It is said that the song is responsible for the common name `grandfather clock` for what are properly called `longcase clocks.`

Saint Seiya (聖 闘 士 星 矢 , Seinto Seiya), also known as Knights of the Zodiac, is a manga series authored by Masami Kurumada, and later adapted to anime. The story follows five mystical warriors called the `Saints` (or `Knights` the kanji is properly read as sei-tō shi `holy fighter` but the furigana has it pronounced `saint`) who have adopted various constellations as their guardian symbols. The anime series won the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize in 1987, but was cancelled in 1989 due to low ratings of the manga and anime. In 2002 Toei produced Saint Seiya: Hades, which continues adapting the manga story arcs that remained pending to be adapted to animation when the anime was cancelled in 1989.

A sumo wrestler leads a highly regimented way of life. The Sumo Association prescribes the behavior of its wrestlers in a way that would be more commonly associated with life in a commune. For example, in the wake of a serious car accident involving a wrestler the Association banned wrestlers from driving their own cars. Breaking the rules can result in fines and/or suspension, not only for the offending wrestler, but also for his stablemaster.

On entering sumo, they are expected to grow their hair long to form a topknot, or chonmage, similar to the samurai hairstyles of the Edo Period. Furthermore they are expected to wear the chonmage and traditional Japanese dress when in public. Consequently, sumo wrestlers can be identified immediately when in public.
