Maha Rajada? Maha Jarada?..........Fonnyta hennduwa dunna

Back to the drawing boards guys. This is brave soldier who put his neck on the line to save this country that you guys are dealing with.
If you guys send out the Mad Dog Mervin to boo and scare Sarath
your calculations are wrong. This is not the way to treat a brave soldier who served Sri Lanka for 40 years.
If this the treatment a brave Ranaviru gets I dread to think how an
ordinary fellow will be treated.
Weda gaththa harakawath mas kadeta denne nea!

Trip to Kataragama - Oct 2009.
Sunday, 8 November 2009 - 6:48 PM SL Time
|
These are some of the pixs from our trip to Kata ragama. We saw the new developments that are going on in the south. Specially, the Hambanthota Harbour project. It is massive. But, I understand that lots of sub-contracts are handed over on for `Something` in return.
Now, these are the thing that our President has to look into and put a stop to it. He might have the best of intentions but the people around him are making the big bucks. These are the people who would bring the Presidency down. That is the word on the street.

India s top judges display moral authority
Wednesday, 4 November 2009 - 5:55 PM SL Time
|
Nobody has asked them to do it. Yet they have voluntarily disclosed respective assets and wealth. Moreover, all the disclosures have been posted in the web. I am talking about the judges of India`s Supreme Court. It`s a remarkable step to promote transparency and boost confidence in the country`s judicial system.
Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan led the charge, putting details of his belongings, including a nine-year-old hatchback car, 20 pieces of jewellery, three houses and land. He has personal landed assets of 1.8 million rupees (US$36,172), while the second most senior judge, S. H. Kapadia, declared property worth 4.1 million rupees and one car.

Greetins from Panadura
Tuesday, 13 October 2009 - 2:26 AM SL Time

Hi all,
I send my greetings from good old Panadura, Sri Lanka. The Jet lag helped me to keep awake during he southern elections which I feel is a kind of a `wake up` call to Mr. President and his team.
It bring back memories of the famous slogan of from the first campaign of Bill Clinton who won over the 92% popularity just after the Gulf war of George Bush senior with `It is the Economy Stupid`.

RAPE- HILLARY SAID!
by
Gomin Dayasri
Fury of a woman knows no bounds. Worse, when she is powerful and arrogant but yet failed to achieve her goals. Such is Hilary Clinton. The mighty Secretary of State failed to tame Sri Lanka. The failed Presidential aspirant, knowingly or unknowingly, received terrorist funding for her election campaign and was compelled to return the cash to comply with the law. Notwithstanding her strenuous efforts she could not save the lives of the terrorists, to whom she is obliged. Therein lays the story.

Safe Bottle Lamp Project
One man`s mission to stop the horrific, and totally avoidable, injuries caused by unsafe kerosene lamps in Sri Lanka.
If I win the World Challenge I can make and distribute 40,000 of these lamps, protecting over 80,000 people from these horrific burn injuries Dr Wijaya Godakumbura, Safe Bottle Lamp Project
Despite an electrification programme, over 6 million people in Sri Lanka, nearly one third of the population, don`t have power. Many families rely on improvised lamps made from bottles to light their homes at night, but these can often spill and cause horrific injuries figures suggest 300,000 people around the world die from accidental kerosene burns every year. Dr Wijaya Godakumbura, a surgeon who witnessed the terrible results of these accidents has designed a safe Lamp that can`t roll over and cause a fire. To date, his small foundation has handed out about 775 thousand of the safe lamps.

One year, a husband decided to buy his mother-in-law a cemetery plot as a Christmas gift. The next year, he didn`t buy her a gift.
When she asked him why, he replied, `Well, you still haven`t used the gift I bought you last year!`
And that`s how the fight started.....
My wife walked into the den & asked `Whats on the TV?`
I replied `Dust`.
