US department issues revised travel advice for Sri Lanka
The US Department of State has revised its travel advice to Sri Lanka in the wake of what it said was improved stability in the southern and western areas of the country with the cessation of hostilities.
It however warns U.S. citizens about the risks of travel to Sri Lanka due to continued security concerns, especially in the northernmost areas and most of its Eastern Province, as there are still uncleared landmines and potential for incidents by remnant members of the LTTE.

Voter turnout endorses NCET, 15 members elected
[TamilNet, Monday, 16 November 2009, 05:27 GMT]
The Norwegian Council of Eelam Tamils (NCET) attracted enough number of participants in the poll that took place Sunday in 16 centres of the different regions of Norway, in which 2767 voters turned out to elect 5 members under a national list and 10 under regional lists. Noticeable of the results was Mr. Bj nar Moxnes topping the national list polling 1864 votes. Mr. Vijayshankar from Tamil Nadu is elected to the Council topping the list of Western Region. Considering the electoral history of Eezham Tamils, who have hitherto been imposed with constitutions and were voting in elections conducted by others, this is their first ever country-wide elections, conducted by them on their own, to form a political body of their own, based on their own constitution. The eight-member Election Commission performed the task with professional perfection, observers said

Who owns the Vanni? SLDF has comprehensively cleared the Vanni towns, jungles, beaches and riversides of all traces of the myth of exclusive Tamil eelam. Can you deny that?
Tuesday, 17 November 2009 - 12:10 PM SL Time

Many spectacular and amazing events have taken place in the Vanni and now many significant events contributing to the welfare of our country are taking place there. Some narrow minded TNA politicians, having ignored what has happened, and what is now happening in Vanni, are already beating the racist drum trying to claim an exclusive Tamil enclave in that par of the country. This is the reason for the above, otherwise, absurd question.
According to The Island newspaper (12th and 13th Sept.), the TNA MPs, with a hardened racist mindset, have alleged that the government `wants to change the Vanni`s demography by settling at least 30 per cent Sinhalese in the Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu Districts. There is a plan to change the demographic pattern in the Vanni area so that there is no such thing as a Tamil province`. The above alleged accusation was made at a meeting with the visiting Tamil Nadu politicians. My immediate response at that time was: So what? Why should we not change? Many Sinhala provinces are no more exclusively Sinhala anymore.

P. Ranil prefers SMS to ringing tone *** In a sad day for ringing tones everywhere, P. Ranil has confessed to having a preference to SMS over the humble ringing tone. The PREDICTIONS for the defeat of next election are almost there. He he he

The tune to P. Ranil`s dance was set by Dinesh Gunawardene, a GENOCIDAL Sinhaloid minister in the totally 100% Sinhala Only government. Minister Gunawardene was probing P. Ranil on whether he had made any statements to our white masters in the European Union about Sri Lanka`s human rights record that would prove detrimental to the Sinhaloids. Now we all know that P. Ranil loves being probed by his male friends like MAN-gala. But this probe was different because Minister Gunwardene is not one of his friends. Therefore the probing was very homophobic indeed.

The ponna RW wants to have it before that make sure that he is the best loser forever. He can even get the use of a DOG if it is able to make pirah PW a winner in a hay day night.
It is a famous secret if LTTE supporting Tamils here on LNP would not cast the votes for RW.They still believe the CFA was the legal document that they were granted eelam.

As the final list of candidates is out for the popular elections of the Norwegian Council of Eelam Tamils (NCET) scheduled Sunday, 9 candidates contest for 5 seats of the national list and 28 candidates are in the fray for 10 seats under regional list. Figuring in the list are three native Norwegians and one Tamil of Tamil Nadu. The NCET constitution, while permitting vote only to people of Eezham Tamil descent above 16, allows even others to be elected provided they accept the principle of the Council advocating independent and sovereign Tamil Eelam in the island of Sri Lanka. Another feature of the candidates list is that many of them are highly educated and are professionals in various walks of life. Seven in the list are women, eight under 35 and two over 60. Two are young women among the 5 who have already been elected by institutions for the second chamber.
