Drawing Lines in the Sand Sunday, 15 November 2009 - 8:17 PM SL Time

Not many people around the world watched the inaugural season of Ukraine`s Got Talent on TV last spring. But since then, the winning performance a live sand drawing by Kseniya Simonova has received more than 7 million views on YouTube and won raves for its mesmerizing depiction of the Soviet Union`s fight against Nazi Germany. Gracefully manipulating handfuls of sand atop a light box, Simonova created ever-transforming images that were projected onto a screen: a bucolic village disintegrates into a war zone, a woman grows old waiting, her piteous face transforms into the Ukrainian monument to its Unknown Soldier.

Obama Girl is for the Best Candidate :)) Sunday, 15 November 2009 - 5:22 AM SL Time

With all the rumours going back and forth and the opposition thrashing around like headless chickens looking for an option to their likely prolonged stint in the political wilderness. Groundviews bloggers came up with the following, which if a candidate were to make part of his/her manifesto and pledge to uphold, we would unhesitatingly vote for.

For starters, pledge to make the moves to
---------------------------------
Revise the constitution
Abolish the presidency
Get the Constitutional Council in place

Day Dreaming Kid :)) Saturday, 14 November 2009 - 10:34 AM SL Time

:))))

We talked,
We walked,
for a Moment in Time.

You passed through and left your mark.
You may never pass this way again,
Or you may stay for a lifetime.

No matter what,
I want to say thank you for the impression you made!

Truly Inspiring Friday, 13 November 2009 - 10:36 PM SL Time

At 74 years old, Tosaka is not your typical bodybuilder. But he is well known in the Japanese bodybuilding circuit for his mastery at such an advanced age.

Unlike most competitors, he didn`t begin bulking up until age 40 when a friend introduced him to the sport. He hasn`t stopped since!

Are You Straight? Friday, 13 November 2009 - 7:52 AM SL Time

This is a video response to Michael Buckley`s `Are You Gay?` video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjAVa9...

The video is just poking fun at some of the silly questions straight people sometimes ask gay people.

Hello Bombshell Thursday, 12 November 2009 - 6:00 AM SL Time

November 10, 2009, (Sawf News) - Victoria`s Secret new Miraculous Bra pushes up women`s busts 2 cup sizes, while its smoldering new commercial could push up men`s blood pressure by 20.

The `bombshell` commercial was shot by Transformers director Michael Bay and has VS angels like Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroes writhing in colorful, not to mention, breast full bras and skimpy panties.

The commercial promises that the Miraculous Bra will turn heads which may well be the first understatement in any commercial.

Charlies Angel`s - Striptease Wednesday, 14 October 2009 - 8:02 AM SL Time

Wind It Up lyrics

High on a hill was a lonely goatherd, lay-od-lay-od-lay-he-hoo
Yodell back with the girl and goatherd, lay-od-lay-od-low

Wind it up
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Yodellay, yodallay, yodal-low

(Yeah)
This is the key that makes us wind up
When the beat comes on, the girls all line up
And the boys all look, but no, they can`t touch
But the girls want to know why the boys like us so much

They like way we dance, they like the way we work

Shoot The Moon :)) Saturday, 10 October 2009 - 8:33 PM SL Time

In case you were asleep this morning when it happened, we bombed the moon. Twice!

Our unprovoked attack upon our unsuspecting orbital neighbor was ostensibly for purposes of locating water particles in the dust cloud kicked up by the impact, but really, we`re pretty sure it`s the end result of some kind of `What`s the most awesome thing we can get the taxpayers to pay for?` brainstorming session.

Unfortunately, the bombing was a bit of a letdown, with the impact not even visible on the zoomed-in, heat-register cameras of NASA TV. We won`t even link to the boring- seven-minute video they`ve posted. Instead, we`ll link to some songs perfect for raining hell into the Sea of Tranquility. Because you know we`re going to have to try again, right?

John Lenon Saturday, 10 October 2009 - 7:53 AM SL Time

While the Twitterverse was buzzing today with President Obama`s Nobel Peace Prize and NASA`s big plans for the Moon, Today marks what would have been John Lennon`s 69th birthday.

So, in honor of John Lennon, play a little extra Beatles Rock Band tonight or your favorite John Lenon song. Thanks for the music, smiles, and gold moments of your life.

Enjoy
Peace, love and happiness to all :))

Women As Peacemakers Saturday, 19 September 2009 - 8:14 PM SL Time

Historically speaking, women have been left out of the most important conversations regarding war and peace until fairly recently. (Only 17 percent of the seats in the US Congress are held by women - and that`s the most it`s ever been.) As more women are coming into positions of power around the world, I believe there is the strong potential that future conversations on the topic will be different. Instead of the focus being on, `How do we gain power over a nation?`
I think the conversations will more likely focus on, `How do we gain power with a nation?`

The Pleasure Is All Mine Sunday, 13 September 2009 - 3:53 AM SL Time

We know the best thing about food is eating it, the next best thing is making it, the third best thing about food has to be the stories.

Meet my friend Suzanne, I`ve know her for 12yrs living in NY, single, working out together, making solo dining at home or eating out. We both had a passion for food. I went an opened a bistro, she went tp Le Corden Bleu, Paris. Published a book about simple pleasures of dining, and personal humorous stories vaguely familiar living in NY :))

So guys, if you are a foodie, or you wanna give a gift to a friend worth checking the book.

Walking In Your Own Shoes Sunday, 2 August 2009 - 10:08 PM SL Time

We`ve all heard advice and inspiring phrases thrown around like `stay true to yourself,` `be the change you want to see,` and of course the more street-cred version, `keep it real.` It can be tricky to figure out what these catch phrases actually look like when put in practice. What does staying true to your self feel like when we try it on for size?

We are trained from birth how to act to get love. When we do what our parents want, they are happy, and we get love. When we go with what we feel, who knows where that could take us. It could take us out of safety, security and love. This programming continues in our lives whenever we look outside ourselves for approval and love. That`s a hard thing to take because we all want love. We all want to be liked but where will the conforming and acting to please actually take us? What will that look like when we try it on for size? And will we even be happy with the result?
