Abduction and disappearance: a new three wheeler method replacing the white Van here is the crystal clear evidence Wednesday, 14 July 2010 - 12:53 AM SL Time

(Lanka-e-News, July 12, 2010, 10.10AM) During the recent past, an armed group had arrived in white Vans and three wheelers, and had abducted 12 individuals in Maligawatte and Kotahena areas.

Three wheelers instead of white Vans being used for abduction is the latest fad.

Even after two years since the war ended, these abductions and disappearances by white Vans and three wheelers seem to be not ending.

Some of the abductees are alleged as linked to the underworld while others do not know why they were abducted. Among the 12 abductees, there is a 17 year old Tamil student.
