`...If Jayewardene was a true Buddhist, I would not be carrying a gun... There cannot be a blueprint or a time limit for a freedom struggle. Everything depends on the situation in our homeland and happenings on the international scene. `
Q: What made you opt out of a conventional system and spearhead a liberation movement which you knew would be outlawed?

A Colombo Tamil`s trip to Jaffna with his Sinhalese friend
By Dravidan Ceylon
Many Sinhalese have this concrete idea about the LTTE and its de-facto state: ?Terrorists?, ?dictators?, ?child conscriptors? and ?ruthless murderers?. I too had that similar sense of picture before travelling to Killinochi.

President Rajapakse`s enthusiasm for war is infectious.
There can be no doubt that 2007 will be one of full-scale war in Sri Lanka. Army commander Lt. Gen. Sarath Fonseka was emphatic last week; his forces would clear the east within a month and then concentrate to destroy the LTTE in the north, he vowed. President Mahinda Rajapakse shares his confidence. The government is rolling out the political dimensions of the Sinhala hegemonic project - especially the de-merger of the Northeast Province - with a new urgency.

Pre Election Article(year 2005) alternative to war.

I would strongly suggest that the TNA should go out and inform the Tamils to `Boycott` the Presidential election. Our refraining from voting will be an indirect support to Mahinda.
I beg my readers not to misunderstand me. I am no war monger. If so, I would have stayed safely in the UK and made these comments from that safe haven. I am in Vanni and I am fully aware that my suggestion may lead to war. But I am sorry to say that the Talks are never going to bring a solution to the ethnic problems. Even if one of the two major parties from the south is sincere enough to bring peace, yet its hands are tied as it will never get that absolute majority it needs and it will never get the support of the opposition to make amendments to the constitution, even for federalism, leave alone a separate state ? Tamil Eelam.

`Mahinda Gamana`: Futile Journey to Certain Disaster
BY D. B. S. Jeyaraj
I am firmly
convinced on one thing. No honourable person seeking to lead a Country can be this
dishonourable. One would respect Rajapakse even if one disagreed with his policies if
he stood clear and steadfast. But here is a man who signs agreements embodying
some principles and then tells others not to take them seriously and that he will
charter an independent course after victory. Furthermore this Buddhist patriot takes a

A Final Verdict on Tamil Eelam ,Let us not squabble; let us move in the direction of a new future

A Final Verdict on Tamil Eelam?
By: Dr. Chandra
[ The destiny of Tamils is in the hands of Tamils and not in the hands of the Sinhalese, Americans or those in the Indian establishment. It is the fundamental right of the LTTE being the sole representative of Tamils to pursue the option of a separate Tamil Eelam simply because there is no iota of chance for a negotiated settlement. The Sinhala state lacks the capacity, will and the intellectualism to provide a far-reaching accommodation for Tamils. It is more used to finding ways and means to impose the most obnoxious collective punishment on Tamils based on the certain historical myths. It is not for the Sinhalese or Americans to tell Tamils what they should do, it is only right for the LTTE to take what rightfully belongs to Tamils. There is no two ways about it.
