Resident Military EXPERT SpecialForce`s punakku special :)) labai, labai Tuesday, 2 December 2008 - 11:30 PM SL Time

Right Honorable SpecialForce made this claim in Kural`s page

[[Specialforce:

and killed over 300 unarmed forces personel in bus attacks...? ]]

and here is evidence provided by the SL News media that `supports` his claim of unarmed soldiers!:P

(lets forget for a moment that soldiers weather armed or unarmed are targets anyways(they are NOT targets ONLY when they have surrendered/surrendering)...and the SLA never makes the distinction between armed and unarmed rebels...lol..they don`t even make any distinction between rebels and civilians but lets not delve in that now)

UFO over/near Sivanolipaatham /Sripaatha /Adams Peak . A video I took . Tuesday, 25 November 2008 - 1:11 PM SL Time

to watch video in Higer Quality
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Avju-tflT-Q&fmt=18

I took this video some years ago and thought i had misplaced the dvd.now that ive found it i thought ill post it :)

I was hiking in the hill country with some of my friends when (around 4.30Am ) i glanced at the direction of Adams peak(for brvity`s sake ill use this name) and saw an un-identified flying object floating above it.

it was shifting colours as well as `blinking off` and `blinking on` on a difference place in the sky. it sometimes moved as well. but most of the times it would move a bit and then simply `blink off` and then re-appear on a different part of the sky (still near the mountain-area)

Genetic Affinities , Dedicated to the Aryans of LNP (to be or not to be :P ) Monday, 17 November 2008 - 6:44 AM SL Time

Its clear from this Data that notwithstanding the claims by many A lankan the Sinhalese do Not belong to the Aryan race anymoreso than the Tamils. The Sinhalese are closely related genetically to the Dravidian speakers of the south-indian cultural region which included this island as well.(as confirmed by archeology)

Its my personal Opinion that the case of the modern Sinhala people is similar to that of the Hispanics in a way.The Indo-European language And the Buddhist religion adopted by those who are known now as the Sinhalese has a parallel in the South American natives who adopted the Spanish language and the Spanish religion as their own.

Dedicated to Kural & Pharoah Saturday, 15 November 2008 - 1:36 AM SL Time

Guys why argue amongst ourselves? as Revy said? over matters we agree about in the first place:)

Pharaoh from what i read from the context in which Kural made his comment i can see that it was meant towards the kaikkoolies and NOT towards eastern Tamils. I do not know why you took umbrage yet i agree with the points you raised.

@ kural
mate be urself! thats all i will say:)

i hope you two guys get over this misunderstanding :)

The Moon`s True Colour Tuesday, 11 November 2008 - 2:10 AM SL Time

Usually we see the moon as a monochromatic world
only with relief and albedo features to observe,
but there is something on the surface hidden to the naked eye that everyone can capture with a digital camera, or just plain analog film.

If you observe some particular features on the lunar surface through a telescope you will notice for sure some tiny differences in the hues of the various greys of the surface, as there are many different geological formations composed of different minerals, so there must be a difference, even though very subtle to our eyes, in the color. But to digital and analogic image capture devices it is an easy task to record color information with quite good accuracy, so it can be enhanced afterwords by digital processing to allow us to see it too!

The Man He Killed -- Thomas Hardy. Monday, 10 November 2008 - 1:47 PM SL Time

`Had he and I but met
By some old ancient inn,
We should have sat us down to wet
Right many a nipperkin!

`But ranged as infantry,
And staring face to face,
I shot at him as he at me,
And killed him in his place.

`I shot him dead because--
Because he was my foe,
Just so: my foe of course he was
That`s clear enough although

`He thought he`d `list, perhaps,
Off-hand like--just as I--
Was out of work--had sold his traps--

Srilanka : The Religious Theocracy Sunday, 9 November 2008 - 6:00 AM SL Time

[[The Srilankan Constitution

The Republic of Sri Lanka shall give to Buddhism the foremost place and accordingly it shall be the duty of the State to protect and foster the Buddha Sasana, while assuring to all religions the rights granted by Articles 10 and 14(1)(e).]]

Srilanka is no Democracy.

its a religious theocracy that has ruthlessly crushed the voices for equal rights by the minorities.

for all the `talk` about
[while assuring to all religions the rights granted]

A good song about blind people from an old movie Thursday, 6 November 2008 - 9:28 AM SL Time

This song is about a husband who takes his blind wife to mamallapuram where, even though she is blind she can visualize the stone works of art by touching and feeling them.

great song by seerkazhi govindarajan

my poor attempt at translation:

He who saw art in stone
-----------------------

He saw artistic beauty in stone-even when blind
He enabled me to see- in stone
The Pallava king saw Mallai-the like of which
there is none even if we were to search the globe.
