Has Dude Danuna Sold His Mother for Rs 75 million??
Monday, 22 February 2010 - 3:47 AM SL Time
|
Judas sold Jesus Christ for 30 pieces of silver!
Converted to US$ today with inflation after 2000 years, it might come to a handsome sum, depending on the value of silver then.
In today`s terminology, Money Talks & Bullshit Walks , and Apsara`s greed to save the Bucks and help the father, whilst Dude Danuna is on the run , was to sacrifice the mothers_day.jsp' class=black>mother-in-law.

Sri Lanka will not be sold - By Jamila Najmuddin
Friday, 19 February 2010 - 2:07 AM SL Time
|
Sri Lanka is not prepared to be sold in order to regain the GSP plus facility from the European Union and will maintain its policy stand instead of giving in to any unfair demands, Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal told Daily Mirror online.
In an interview with the website this evening the Governor also noted that the country will not be hurt by the loss of the GSP Plus concession from the EU as all the remedial measures have been taken to maintain the economy minus the trade concession.

Arresting Fonseka Was the Right and the Legal Thing to Do
Sunday, 14 February 2010 - 11:02 PM SL Time
|
About twenty protestors gathered in the sunshine yesterday in front of the high-rise building housing the Sri Lankan Consulate in Mid-Wilshire Los Angeles. They very vocally voiced their displeasure over the arrest and detention of retired general Sarath Fonseka who is in Sri Lanka, of course.
When I heard about the feeble, not-well-attended protest I wondered why in the world those people were protesting his arrest in America a country where the retired general surely would surely be arrested should he show his face here again. Among other things, suspected illicit arms trading by a US Green Card holder is not generally tolerated in this country and the retired general most definitely would have been nabbed and detained at the airport.

GENERAL FONSEKA S ARREST UNDER MILITARY LAW- IS IT LEGAL AND IN ACCORDIANCE OF LAW AND DUE PROCESS
Saturday, 13 February 2010 - 1:52 AM SL Time
|
Retired General Sarath Fonseka was arrested by the Military police for investigations
for commitment of military offences under S/57(1) of the army Act No 17 of 1949 in which any army officer during active service or within the period of six menthes of retirement which states as follows
Where a person subject to military law commits any offence and thereafter ceases to be a person subject to military law, may be taken into and kept in military custody and be tried and punished for that offence by a court martial, provided that, he shall not be so tried after the lapse of six months from the date of the commission of such offence. During the imprisonment he should be dealt with as if he continued to be a person subject to military law. This clears the minds of Fonseka supporters and interested groups on the legality of the arrest. When he has committed offences and whether he has committed any offence is a matter of facts to be determined by the military police.

Fonseka s trial soon, Norway supported Fonseka to oust Govt. Gotabaya
Friday, 12 February 2010 - 11:35 PM SL Time
|
The comments made by Secretary of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa that to the media that He have proof of the Norwegian government paying journalists to write against the government , is 100% true. When Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa said that the Norwegians and the US have vested interests and used to support the Tamil Tigers in various ways, this is also 100% true. They also supported Fonseka to try oust the government is also 100% true.
I support Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa fully on his statements. As a PATRIOTIC Sri Lankan who has been in the forefront of defending the integrity and sovereignty of our mothers_day.jsp' class=black>motherland since I domiciled in Canada against the LTTE front operators and Organizations, Canadian politicians and INGO`s (not all the Canadian nation) that were hell bent to blame a sovereign government and frame false charges against a democratically elected government in order to create political destabilize, promote the violence further and undermine the economy of a nation that was moving forward with it`s indigenous way of finding a solution to our problems, it is time up that the world has to know what the TRUTH is.

Fonseka s private army, within the Army, killed Lasantha
Friday, 12 February 2010 - 1:45 PM SL Time
|
The mounting evidence from foreign and local sources against Gen.(retd) Sarath Fonseka, now held by the Military Police at a Naval base in Colombo, indicate that he is in deeper trouble than he knows.
First, there is the internal evidence collected from the rank and file. In it there is substantial evidence to establish a prima facie case if all his covert and overt moves to stage a coup under his command are put together. Although the finer details are yet to be revealed military sources have connected the links that point directly Gen Fonseka as the master-mind behind the military network getting ready to grab power in the event of a controversial margin of victory coming down to a slim majority.

Defeating Fonseka: The Final Blow for the LTTE
Thursday, 4 February 2010 - 1:49 AM SL Time
|
My last article about Sri Lanka was entitled, `Is Sri Lanka Crazy Enough to Elect a Retired General as President?` Yesterday`s election answered that question with a resounding `No!` It actually answered a number of questions with a resounding `No!` Here are a few of those questions:
`Is Sri Lanka willing to elect someone as President who was a convicted rapist, serial womanizer, and alleged wife beater?` That`s what I like: a role model for the nation`s youth.

Voters will not leave room for the opposition to elect a government for several decades
Monday, 1 February 2010 - 1:43 AM SL Time
|
Earlier they blamed Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe for consecutive election defeats this time they should blame the combination of political parties for the debacle. When the JVP 3%, TNA 6%, UNP 45% , Muslim Congress 1%, and Mano Ganeshan 1% and Former President Mrs Bandaranaike ( well over 50% of SLFP votes) when combined the opposition should have recorded 56% to 107% of votes.

LET US UNITE AS SRI LANKANS
Saturday, 30 January 2010 - 4:54 PM SL Time
|
We as Sri Lankans do have many differences between us based on Language spoken/beliefs and caste/race. But it is time to bury all the differences and unite to bring our fragile country back to prosperity that can be shared among all of us without racial, language and/or religious discrimination or barriers.
I was very much active during the war providing every update available to patriots who were interested in the eradication of LTTE terrorism. War wasn`t any difference to the immediate political war erupted between two heroes produced by Sri Lanka into PE.

Fonseka presents his Vishvasaneeya Venasak
Friday, 8 January 2010 - 1:07 AM SL Time
|
On 26 January you have a choice. You can have more of the same from Mahinda Rajapaksa. You can have corruption, bribery, nepotism and ego-boosting extravaganza that is costing your family through high taxes and high cost of living, falling income and failing health and education, states Presidential candidate General (Retired) Sarath Fonseka`s manifesto.
The manifesto titled `Vishvasaneeya Venasak` or a change you can trust - was launched this morning at a leading hotel in Colombo and was presented to religious leaders, United National Party ( UNP) leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) leader Somawansa Amarasinghe among others by General Fonseka.

General s quest for credit. And lurking danger for minorities
Saturday, 14 November 2009 - 1:00 AM SL Time
|
By K.T.Rajasingham
In a democracy, the buck stops at the door of the political executive. For good or bad. It is the political executive that faces the music.
Because the political head is accountable to the people, who reposed faith in him (or her) leadership and entrusted the reins of the nation. This is the accepted maxim.
Internationally! Sri Lanka is no exception. So, why this hullabaloo over who should be responsible for the defeat of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam?
