This movie shows us the life of Edith Piaf, a very touching story with great acting by Marion Cotillard as Edith Piaf which she won the Academy Awards for best actress.
This is a movie one should not miss.

The begining is very touching. I had tears in my eyes seeing how KURAL cries, but then it was scary:)))

A Very Long Engagement (French: Un long dimanche de fian ailles) is a 2004 French romantic war film, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and starring Audrey Tautou. It is a fictional tale about a young woman`s desperate search for her fianc who might have been killed on a World War I battlefield (the Somme). It was based on a novel of the same name, written by Sebastien Japrisot, first published in 1991.

Five soldiers are convicted of self-mutilation in order to escape military service during World War I. They are condemned to face near certain death in the no man`s land between the French and German trench lines. It appears that all of them were killed in a subsequent battle, but Mathilde, the fianc e of one of the soldiers, refuses to give up hope and begins to uncover clues as to what actually took place on the battlefield. She is all the while driven by the constant reminder of what her fianc had carved into one of the bells of the church near their home, MMM for Manech Aime Mathilde (Manech Loves Mathilde a pun on the French word aime, which is pronounced like the letter `M`. In the English-language version, this is changed to `Manech Marries Mathilde`).

Good Bye, Lenin![1] is a German tragicomedy film, released internationally in 2003. It can be seen as part of the ostalgie movement. Directed by Wolfgang Becker, the cast includes Daniel Br hl, Katrin Sa , Chulpan Khamatova, Maria Simon and Florian Lukas. Most of the scenes were shot at the Karl-Marx-Allee in Berlin and around Plattenbauten near Alexanderplatz.
This is a very good German movie with a beautiful soundtrack by Yann Tiersen.

Edith Piaf is regarded as France`s greatest popular singer. An artist with great voice who is still famous today. Her lifestory can be seen in the movie `La Vie En Rose` where Marion Cotillard acted as Edith Piaf. For movie lovers who love good movies I recommend you La Vie En Rose which is based on true events and very nicely done. Marion won the an Academy award for her role in the movie and I saw one of the best actings I`ve ever seen in the movie.
This is a movie one shouldn`t miss.

My favourite song of Serduchka. The meaning of this song `Я н е п о н я л а `, I don`t understand it:))))
My buddy `Babunchik` you can help us with the meaning if you are around.

The singer is Ukranian, named Verka Serduchka. One of my favourites. He makes some good pop music, and sings them in a very funny way. This is one of his first songs I listened, still like it so much. Soviet music is one of the most beautiful, most creative music on earth. Here`s one of my favourites to LNP members and also dedicated to `Babunchik` and good Soviet buddies. I miss you all, a lot.

In 1990, Andriy Danylko started to create the character Verka Serduchka, a flamboyant middle aged woman and train conductor. At a humor contest in Poltava on 1991-04-01, he presented Verka Serduchka publicly for the first time. He invented the character`s name by combining the randomly picked first name Verka and the real last name of a former school classmate, Anya Serduk.[1][2] Apart from pop and dance numbers, Danylko has also appeared under his real name, performing ambient musical compositions. His popularity, however, is firmly established on the stage personality of Verka Serduchka and most of his performances are done under this stage name.
