Nallur Murugan Temple, Yarlpanam, Tamil Eelam.
At the crack of dawn, dozens of men young and old roll on the ground outside this famous Hindu temple in northern Sri Lanka, reciting verses or just praying to the deities. Cries of `Haro Hara or Muruga rend the air as the womenfolk go through the ritual of bowing, kneeling, before walking a few spaces to bow/kneel again outside the temple wall.
The 25-day annual Nallur festival is on and drawing crowds not only from all over Sri Lanka but the rest of the world, mainly Tamil expatriates and their families.

Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Church leaders in Sri Lanka say they are disappointed by the government rejecting their call for a Christmas truce in the country`s continuing civil war.

During the Nazi occupation, the French people were forced to join Nazi rallies by the occupying German forces. Similarly the Tamil quislings and the occupying Sinhala forces have forced the people of Jaffna to join the pro Sinhala Lanka demonstration.

During the Nazi occupation of Europe, the people in the occupied countries were forced to join the Pro-Nazi rallies by the occupying German army and the quislings. Does it mean the people were genuinely supporting the occupying Nazis? Even a person with a modicum of intelligence would say no to that question but it seems many Sinhalayass in this forum genuinely believe the Tamils of Jaffna actually love the Sinhala occupying forces and participating in the Anti Tamil demostration. :))

Tamil blooded King Kasyapa s artistic sense is from his Tamil mother but the hunchbacked, misshapen, top heavy women of Sigiriya are unworthy copies of the earliest cave paintings Ajanta, Elora, Patadakal,Sittannavasal,Tamil Nadu paintings of S.India

King KASYAPA 470-488 AD - son of King Dhatusena by a TAMIL Pallava woman, killed his father and moved his capital from Anuradhapura to Sigiraya. He was later dethroned by his exiled brother with the help of Tamil pandiyas, Mogallana, who returned the capital to Anuradhapura.
The hunchbacked, misshapen, top-heavy women of Sigiriya, about which so many misplaced raves have been written, but copies unworthy of the prototypes of the cave paintings of Ajanta, Elora, Pappadakkal, and Sittannavasal in Tamil Nadu,South India and from which they were drawn.

Sivanoli Pada Malai - The sacred mountain of Hindu Tamils of Sri Lanka. The Buddha was against the worship of any object but the Tamil Waishnavites will not leave their house in the morning without marking their foreheads with the symbol of Vishnu s feet

The Tamil name of the rock (Sivan-oli-pada) means `the mountain path of Siva`s light`. Alongside the rock is a shrine containing images (one of which is made of silver) of the god Saman, even now a Tamil Brahmin priest officiates at this shrine. This is another proof that the Sivanoli Pada Malai or Sri Pada was the Temple of the Hindu Tamils of Sri Lanka, and hijacked by the Sinhala Buddhists today. They have hijacked and Sinhalized the Tamil God Murukan in Kathirkamam also.

`Genocide is a word that must be used with care but how else is one to describe the impulse which guided the Sinhalese people this week?` .. London Times 30 July 1983

There is no time limit within which a prosecution for genocide may be launched - those responsible for Genocide `83 must be charged and punished according to the International laws.
Black July 1983. It would be difficult to exaggerate the horrors of that day: human beings, including children, burnt alive while jeering Sinhalese danced gleefully around in patriotic and pious frenzy women gang-raped, the eyes of at least one prisoner gouged out bodies dragged and placed before a Buddha statue, as if the Compassionate One were an atavistic god who demanded the human sacrifice.

O Ye Sinhala Buddhist Monks of Sri Lanka - A Plague upon Thy House -Talahena Church was attacked by Buddhist monks & Sinhalas. It seems the anti Tamil, Sinhala Nazi Fernandos and Pereras might get booted out of their homes by their own Sinhala brethren.

These are pictures of the Talahena Calvary Church in Colombo that was attacked by a mob of Buddhist monks and supporters just last Sunday.
Pastor Roshan (shown in one photo) is the younger brother of the pastor of our little church in Kandy . He and his father were hospitalized in the attack.
The attack came while morning worship service was in progress, and the photo ` s tell the rest of the story. Please do keep these dear people in your prayers.
There is normally very little legal recourse available through the police as the government is hesitant to challenge Buddhist clergy who are involved in these things. Pray that through such times (and numbers of churches in Sri Lanka are experiencing this sort of thing), God ` s people will demonstrate the gracious aroma of Christ in the midst of suffering for His sake.
