Hindian s Proxy War Sunday, 1 February 2009 - 9:22 AM SL Time

Tamil people all over the world got tired by looking for much anticipated counter attack on Sinhala forces. Tigers are now facing combined Sinhala and Indian forces in Vanni. So, there is a remote possibility that Tigers ever achieve a long-lasting military victory as they did in the previous occasions.

Indians are pouring billions of dollars in Sinhala fighting machine. They train Sinhala forces, supply arms, give technical assistance, and provide intelligence. Even if, LTTE blows up 10 MiGs in a night, next day India will supply aircrafts and pilots. Even if, LTTE destroy whole battalion of battle tanks, India will ship tanks with crews.

Women come to the front too Tuesday, 20 May 2008 - 8:15 AM SL Time

Over the time, I have read so many comments about LTTE cadres` dresses (lack of uniform), and their footwear (lack of boots).

Recently a few Sinhala military pundits commented how LTTE employed women in the front line, which could be considered as inhumane or even wrong.

I had chance to read the comment of LNP members, who defend the barbaric Arabic desert culture, and even child marriage.

But, how it is wrong to give a chance to a woman to protect her beloved country and people.

Invincible Monday, 12 May 2008 - 11:19 AM SL Time

This post is a continuum of the previous one.

I did not have enough time to convey my complete `interpretation` of the `Invincible` events previously.

A Sea Tiger boat could drop `Frogmen` and their `Gears` a few nautical miles away from anchored Sri Lankan Navy boat or ship.

Frogmen could also travel in a human torpedo, which came into the scene during the Second World War.

There is also possibility that frogmen could reach the target in an `underwater glider` first.

No Country for Old Men is a 2007 American thriller film written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, starring Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones, and Javier Bardem.

No Country for Old Men tells the story of a drug deal gone wrong and the ensuing cat-and-mouse drama, as three men crisscross each other`s paths in the desert landscape of 1980 West Texas.

No Country for Old Men has been highly praised by critics. Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times called it `as good a film as the Coen brothers have ever made.`

No Country for Old Men - coin toss scene Saturday, 15 March 2008 - 4:04 AM SL Time

Death walks hand in hand with Chigurh wherever he goes, unless he decides otherwise.

If everything you`ve done in your life has led you to him, he may explain to his about-to-be victims, your time might just have come.

`You don`t have to do this,` the innocent invariably insist to a man whose murderous code dictates otherwise.

Occasionally, however, he will allow someone to decide his own fate by coin toss, notably in a tense early scene in an old filling station marbled with nervous humor.

Shrinking Quarter Pounder :) Tuesday, 11 March 2008 - 6:35 AM SL Time

My post`s title reads `Shrinking Quarter Pounder` that based on ML own description. I believe that it is not a derogatory phrase - Quarter Pounder. It is kind of tribute to our Burgher community.

The Tooth, the Whole Tooth, Nothing but the Tooth Friday, 29 February 2008 - 8:24 AM SL Time

Dental experts have raised doubts over the authenticity of a purported Buddha`s tooth in a Singapore temple, claiming it could not have come from any human being.

More than 60,000 donors poured 45 million Singapore dollars ($29 million) and 27 kilograms of gold into the four-storey building where the tooth, said to be one of Buddha`s molars, is kept in a 3.6-metre-high stupa made of gold.

`There is absolutely no possibility that it is a human tooth,` Pamela Craig, a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne`s school of dental science, was quoted as saying by The Sunday Times.

Mannaar Sea trade Sunday, 24 February 2008 - 12:35 PM SL Time

Probably, the Mannaar region where the entire Sri Lankan Islanders` history have begun. Because, the distance between Indian subcontinent and Sri Lanka is very narrower at Mannaar. Our ancestors from India could have reached the island by crossing the sea by feet.

Here is my short and incomplete `composite` history lesson of Mannaar region.

Enemy at the Vanni`s Gates Monday, 11 February 2008 - 4:19 AM SL Time

Developing story
==========

Recently, LTTE starts to deploy sniper units in front lines.

Even though, LTTE has many skill snipers, this is the first time they specifically employ those skilled snipers in a hunting spree.

Since LTTE snipers are in well conceal positions, moving SLA soldiers is having a though time in front lines.

Learning from the history
==================

A sniper is an infantry soldier or other serviceman who specializes in shooting from a concealed position over longer ranges than regular infantry, often with a specially designed or adapted sniper rifle.

Are those Eleam Tamil lives very cheap? Sunday, 10 February 2008 - 10:27 AM SL Time

Kumudam:
=======

How could you suggest that ADMK and its leader Jayalalithaa`s stance on LTTE do not justify, since MGR himself believed in Eleam?

Pulamipithan:
============

MGR solely supported the independence state for Eleam Tamil from the beginning.

He gave away several crores for the cause.

A Sri Lanka Navy Dvora Fast Attack Craft (FAC), with seven navy personnel on board, has been reported missing in the seas north of Mannaar, according to informed military sources.
