In a career spanning six decades (57 years), Kalashoori Baig Master has sung more than 10,000 songs and provided his golden voice to huge collection of Sri Lankan films.

Mohideen Baig was born in India on December 5, 1919. He migrated to Sri Lanka with his family in 1932.

SYDNEY - An Australian girl spontaneously switched blood groups (The patient`s blood group had changed from O, RhD/negative, to O, RhD/positive) and adopted her donor`s immune system following a liver transplant in the first known case of its type, her treating doctors said Thursday.

Demi Lee Brennan was aged nine and seriously ill with liver failure when she received the transplant. Nine months later it was discovered that she had changed blood types and her immune system had switched over to that of the donor after `stem cells` from the new liver migrated to her bone marrow.

Michael Schumacher may well be the fastest taxi driver in Germany after the seven-times world champion shocked a cab driver by taking over the wheel in order to be on time for a flight.

Schumacher, 38, flew into the aerodrome at the Bavarian town of Coburg on Saturday and took a taxi to the village of Gehuelz, 30 kilometres away, to pick up a new puppy - an Australian Shepherd dog called `Ed`.

But when the former Formula One ace, plus his wife and two children, caught a taxi back to the airport they were short on time and, after a polite request, cab driver Tuncer Yilmaz watched in wonder as Schumacher took the wheel.

Born September 14, 1965 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg).

1987 - Graduated from Leningrad State University law faculty, in 1990 received a Ph.D. in law, also from Leningrad State University, with a specialization in private law.

1990-1999 - assistant professor at Leningrad State University.

1990-1995 - served as adviser to the Chairman of the Leningrad City Council and expert consultant to the St. Petersburg Mayor`s Committee for External Relations, which was headed by Vladimir Putin.
