Tamil film actors came together today to protest against the atrocities meted out to Sri Lankan Tamils as a result of the ethnic war that is raging in the island nation. The protest was in the form of a fast organized by the Nadigar Sangam headed by actor politician Sarath Kumar.

Early career
Savundra committed several shipping frauds and dubious arms deals in his native Ceylon.
