Leaving a thought...
Friday, 23 March 2012 - 8:15 AM SL Time
|
A promise has to be kept.
We went down in Geneva.
I have to leave. Just the LNP, though.
Wanna leave a thought.
May help anyone who contemplates wisely.
May help anyone who wanna contemplate better.
Everything will come to pass.
Happiness comes, and goes. Sadness comes and goes, too.
Knowing that, when happines do arrive, the wise will try harder to do what they oughta do to extend that happiness...with respect to many things, especially, your relations with each other.
When sadness arrives, the wise will know it can`t sustain for ever, for it`s gotta pass, too. Knowing that, they will know sulking and brooding is just a waste of time.

Let Bygones be Bygones

I once begged, through an opinion column, the General (SF) not to fall for the opportunistic political maneuverings of the JVP and the UNP. So did the majority of the citizens like myself, I believe. We knew in our hearts that he was already a national hero forever, even if he didn`t do anything else for the rest of his life. Certainly, he did not need to rush anything. We loved the General for what he was and for what he really accomplished for our mothers_day.jsp' class=black>motherland, irrespective of his political inclinations and ambitions. The JVP and the UNP hated him for what he did, ridiculed his triumphs and, when all was lost beyond salvation for them, u-turned and started loving him for what he could become for them after the winning of the war-a political straw to cling on to for their own petty political objectives-when all other political gimmicks by them failed to impress upon the citizens of this country.

`Scuuse me, Mr. B., but it`s just a real town name.......

You may not believe this, but it is true. It is in the map. Check for yourselves.
In Europe A Little Austrian Town Named........
F.... (German pronunciation: [ˈ fʊ kɪ ŋ ], rhymes with `booking`[2]) is an Austrian village[3] in the municipality of Tarsdorf,[4] in the Innviertel region of western Upper Austria. The village is 33 kilometres (21 mi) north of Salzburg, 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) east of the German border.
Despite having a population of only 104, the village has become famous for its name in the English-speaking world. Its road signs are a popular visitor attraction, and were often stolen by souvenir-hunting tourists until 2005, when they were modified to be theft-resistant.

Now which one is it, Aani....

I witnessed a barrage of e- chat conversation with full of sexual innuendo yesterday. The infamous guuy was the main cast helped along by a non-existent Sonali, he dame, in the guuy`s mind.
Then the guuy made a vanishing act. Never returned, and the LNP was buzzing with traffic after years of boredom.
Then Ani came, and went around offering apologies for many of his clan. Said he did it.
That got me thinking.
Why did Aani played an imposter as the infamous guuy in the first place and more importantly, without the guuy`s approval, as Aani admits and later apologize? Why did Aani stooped to the low level, even in this virtual world, as he puts it in defense, to use a handle of another without permission and implicate the guuy and his wife in horrid sexual details of a personal nature? Why did Aani teamed up to do this utterly horrible act of defaming another (if he really did it) and later go around begging for forgiveness offering free apologies all around?

Dallas Alahapperuma, Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development said that inability to understand the language spoken by each other is the main reason for creating distance between different communities in Sri Lanka. While a state leader in India urges to isolate Sri Lanka and bring about economic sanction, a new international phenomenon emerges when two of the most powerful international leaders, Presidents of Russia and China have jointly and separately assured Sri Lanka of their continuous support.
During the recent visit to St.Petersburg, Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa was seen closeted togather with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and the Chinese President Hu Jintao, clearly revealing Sri Lanka`s unshakable friendship with Russia and China and the amount of trust and confidence those two leaders have placed on Sri Lanka.
