The saga of Sarath Fonseka`s Presidential campaign is proving to be a farce that will easily outdo that of the 2008 campaign of Sarah Pelin. The possibility of a future `President Fonseka` taking office has already become a logical inconsistency similar to `boiling snow`.
The simple reasons are that the man is corrupt dishonest and has no ability or experience required for such a high position.

Fonseka`s anti-corruption platform has no credibility following his acceptance of the offer of a new residence owned by a Colombo businessman who is a known LTTE and UNF financier, and his escape to the sumptuous residence of Ravi Karunanayake from the public uproar that followed `those` allegations.

When the UNF government infamously committed the treacherous act of having a safe house of the army long rangers raided in 2002, exposing their identities and causing them to be eliminated by the LTTE, people called it the biggest ever betrayal of the Sri Lanka army. But, former Army Commander Gen. (Retd) Sarath Fonseka has done something equally bad. He has levelled a serious war crimes charge against the Sri Lanka army and the government and given a turbo boost to the on-going international human rights witch-hunt against this country.

She had no option but to leave the country to Australia just 3 years ago to ESCAPE from FONNY while he was the army commander. She is just one female victim of Fonseka.

Army officers who worked under Fonseka will testify about Fonseka`s illegitimate daughter in Anuradhapura.

Nov 29, Colombo: Sri Lanka`s Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa said now it is clear to everyone that General Sarath Fonseka had been plotted against the government for a long time, while he was secretly engaged in politics before he retired from the Army.

In an interview with today`s Sunday Lakadeepa edition Nov 29 the Defence Secretary said General Fonseka has apparently had a number of discussions with the opposition during the last few months and now it is obvious that his protests over speedy resettlement and blocking the process posing various security and other reasons were actions carried out upon the interests of opposition while in uniform.

The symbolism in the Tiger`s act is something that cannot be missed. It is known in military circles by then that Gen Fonseka had upon the virginity of the dozens of women soldiers and made them pregnant. He also fathered children by molesting several innocent Sinhala women soldiers who worked under him.

President Mahinda Rajapkse had stated that if General Sarath Fonseka tenders his letter of resignation, he will accept it.

President added that he is not prepared to violate the fundamental rights of anyone. He can face any challenge he may have to encounter following the resignation of Gen.Sarath Fonseka.

The media reported recently, that Gen. Fonseka had informed the Defense Secretary one month ahead that he does not wish to extend his services any longer. At any rate, if Fonseka is to send in his resignation papers, there is room for the President to reject, reports further said.

A close relative of Gen. Fonseka`s son-in-law is reported to have got entangled in a club brawl, which saw him being `bounced` from the club by its owner. The next day, the club owner had received a threatening telephone call. The club owner seems to have influence himself - he had reported the matter to Major General Shavindra Silva, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) and Maj-Gen. Mendeka Samarasinghe, Chief of Staff of the Army, because the number of the call was traced to an officer from the Artillery Regiment at Panagoda. An inquiry was promptly called into the matter.

While our boys give their life to get rid of the terrorists, the son-in-law of the Commander, Danuna Tillakaratne profits from every bullet fired in the war. As exclusive agent of the Pakistani arms dealer and ISI agent Ahmed Nissar (who stays rent free in Tillakaratne`s flat in Central Colombo) he gets 2cents for every bullet procured and 20$ for every shell. Add up the numbers ans see how this young lad has become a multi millionaire overnight. Is this what our boys are shedding their blood for?

According to Canada`s CBC News, the majority of Canada`s Tamils are members of the Tamil Tigers (LTTE) or supporters of the group. Tamil Tigers have eliminated most of Tamil moderates to cave in a separate state for LTTE out of Sri Lanka.

Tamils in Canada want the Canadian government to intervene and prevent the fall of the Tamil Tigers so that the group can re-arm and re-group. This will take Sri Lanka back into decades of civil war, and allow Tamil refugees in Canada to continue with their refugee cases and subsequent Canadian citizenship.

(CNN) -- Sri Lanka`s president declared Wednesday that the country`s Tamil insurgents are on the verge of total defeat, saying their demise has helped unite the island nation on the 61st anniversary of its independence.

`We are today a nation that has defeated a powerful enemy that stood before us,` Mahinda Rajapaksa said in his independence day speech. `Our entire nation is now united in the shade of the national flag.`
