And I love you so By Perry Como dedicated to our very own chief Lalith Wednesday, 10 October 2007 - 5:01 AM SL Time

A great song, just for a special evening for all that reminicences.

And I love you so
The people ask me how
How I`ve lived `til now
I tell them I don`t know

I guess they understand
How lonely life has been
But life began again
The day you took my hand

And yes I know, how lonely life can be
The shadows follow me
And the night won`t set me free
But I don`t let the evening get me down
Now that you`re around me

And you love me too
Your thoughts are just for me

Part-Time Lover by Stevie Wonder - A Classic Tuesday, 9 October 2007 - 12:39 AM SL Time

Call up, ring once, hang up the phone
To let me know you made it home
Dont want nothing to be wrong with part-time lover
If shes with me Ill blink the lights
To let you know tonights the night
For me and you my part-time lover

We are undercover passion on the run
Chasing love up against the sun
We are strangers by day, lovers by night
Knowing its so wrong, but feeling so right

If Im with friends and we should meet
Just pass me by, dont even speak
Know the words discreet when part-time lovers

If you see your brother standing by the road
With a heavy load from the seeds he`s sowed
And if you see your sister falling by the way
Just stop and stay you`re going the wrong way

You got to try a little kindness
Yes show a little kindness
Just shine your light for everyone to see
And if you try a little kindness

Richard Clayderman plays Moonlight Sonata - For all the classic lovers Tuesday, 2 October 2007 - 12:51 AM SL Time

Here is one of the rare gems `Moonlight Sonata` played by Richard Clayderman, perhaps with a little twist of Clayderman`s own work too.

In fact analysts suggest that Beethoven wrote this for his undisclosed lover once came to learn music. It really is amazing piece of music. I feel like its weekend when listening to this.

Enjoy the Classic!

`Pipunu Male Ruwa` By Nanda Malini - A gem dedicated to all the philanthropists who contributed to the Bibile Project led By Lalith Tuesday, 11 September 2007 - 11:33 PM SL Time

This song depicts very much similar to the project that our gov. Lalith has undertaken. The subject of the song is a girl who is so poor doesn`t have anything to be happy of that her mother even breaks the mirror thinking that her daughter might look at her face and will feel for shortcomings.

Very moving song, written by Lucien Bulathsinghala. A truly classic song which brings back many stories of the people of Bibile lady and her kids.

`Ratakin Eha` by Priya Monday, 10 September 2007 - 9:33 PM SL Time

`Ratakin eha` is a popular hit by Priya Sooriyasena. Lyrics by Premakeerthy De Alwis.

Apologise for the poor sound quality, I guess `youtube` sound quality is not the best as you most probably aware of. But the song itself reminds me the good old 70s.
This is probably off-transimission recording makes it even more worse.

`Minisaamai Lowa Dewiyan wanne` by Mohideen Beig Sunday, 9 September 2007 - 11:11 PM SL Time

This song was sung by Mohideen Beig for the film `Sri Pathula` in the early 80s which was based on siblings killing each other due to suspicion.

The song reflects or enquires the point on why being born to the same family that one kills the other due to suspicion and avarice borne within. I think this song has so much Buddhist philosophy embedded.

As usual Beig with his distinctive voice sings very powerfully and meangingfully like his all other Buddhist songs - truly marvelous singer.

Enjoy the Sunday with this old hit!
