Though a capsule of cyanide is hung across the neck of the youth in the North, along with a T-56, Duwaraha is holding a rose in her arms. She is living a very comfortable life in England right now. Duhara Prbahakaran was born in 1986 in Madras, she studied upto A/L in Kilinochchi. Prabakaran and his wife Maduwadani, eldest son Charles Anthony, he is in the center of this picture. Charles Anthony also got princely treatment growing up and lived in Vanni. He has spent most of his life in England and other European countries. Prabakaran had a secret life that he did not tell the world, this was disclosed in the recent findings of his family albums and personal letters.

Also killed in this heinous suicide bombing, which occurred during the ceremonial opening of the office of the North Central Province opposition leader, were several members of the provincial council and numerous other innocent bystanders. We express our deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and the people of Sri Lanka.

Dubai-based Emirates said two of its pilots from Sri Lanka were among the first to fly the new Airbus A380 super jumbo aircraft.
Suren Ratwatte has flown the prototype aircraft registered as F-WWDD out of Airbus Industries home airfield in Toulouse France on June 18, while Suhail Hashim flew the same aircraft the following day.
The pilots had joined Emirates in 1989.
`The A380 is the world`s largest commercial aircraft, and Suren`s and Suhail`s achievement is a tribute to the abilities of our pilots,` Chandana de Silva, Emirates area manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives said in a statement.

CHENNAI: Even Priyanka Gandhi`s visit to the Vellore prison does not seem to have worked for Rajiv Gandhi`s assassin, Nalini Sriharan.

Belying expectations that the Tamil Nadu government might adopt a lenient stand on Nalini`s plea seeking early release from prison, the state told the Madras high court on Friday that it was not in favour of it. Priyanka`s meeting with the life convict (Nalini) in prison on March 19 has nothing to do with the premature release of the prisoner, said a counter-affidavit filed by the home department in response to Nalini`s writ petition.

There are hardly any services but mainly extortion. The LTTE has virtually taken over all enterprises except those of dhobis (washermen) and barbers. Everyone selling something or doing a service must issue a receipt so that tax could be collected. The combined intelligence services prevent evasion. When the LTTE took over houses, and if the owners were lucky enough for the LTTE to agree to return them, they were given huge bills for fictitious improvements.

8 LTTE terrorists killed in Mannar

A total of 8 LTTE terrorists were reported killed, 6 wounded in separate fighting ensued between troops and LTTE at the Mannar front on Sunday (June 15), according to Wanni security sources.

Four terrorists were killed in general area Kaddupulan, Mannar when troops broke into two LTTE bunker defences at around 4.30a.m., today. Intercepted terrorist communication has confirmed the LTTE fatalities, the sources said adding that troops have also uncovered slain LTTE bodies along with 4x T-56 assault riffles and 07 hand grenades.

Her enchanting dancing moves in the song Bingu Nade from the soundtrack of Rosa Kele have become a hit, making this South Indian beauty the latest sweetheart in Sinhala cinema.
She smiled continuously whilst posing for photographs. In between the costume changes Monikaa would come to me and apologise for having to keep me waiting. Finally she arrived apologising once again this time in a South Indian manner.

No mudslingers at LNP

It`s a pleasure to watch Parvathy Manjunath sing. The 11-year-old girl was born without her right hand but there is no bitterness. Music is her heart and soul. She prays with fervour even though she can`t fold her hands.

Parvathy Manjunath, affectionately called `Veena` by her parents and relatives, is familiar with television viewers in and outside Kerala. She entered the finals of Amrita TV Super Star show 2007 and came fourth in the contest.

The winning of a cash prize of Rs.50000/- and gold medal was the beginning of a saga. She is a standard VI student of Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, Kochi.
