Role of Child Protection Agency in the Ethnic war Sunday, 19 May 2013 - 6:08 AM SL Time

I saw this poem on a Tamil website, under the name of Sivakumar. Not sure who the author is, but it is a moving poem.

Take my land, take.
the brook where I caught my first fish,
the field my grandfather.
cleared of rocks and stones with.
a tired mule,
the dirt where my mothers_day.jsp' class=black>mother.
is buried.
I surrender. Take
it all.

Truth shall set you free Friday, 17 May 2013 - 5:56 PM SL Time

Truth will come out sooner or later. The war crim in Bangladesh was punished 40+ years later.

If you are a war crim, Confess, Repent and Repair.

Otherwise there will be no peace for you.

Usual story Sunday, 12 May 2013 - 7:08 PM SL Time

There was a lot of pomp and pageantry about 3 Jaffna school boys being selected to play in the triseries. We were eager to see how they fare. So we checked the score card Sri Lanka vs. Srilanka Combined Eleven. Alas they are not in the playing eleven in any team! We think the Jaffna boys are being exploited for the physically hard labour of carrying drinks.

This is not new to the Jaffna people. When the occasional international teams played Northern province, many Southerners were included in the Northern team, depriving our boys of opportunities. Then we had bowlers like R. Naguleswaran and P. Shanthikumar being repeatedly ignored in favour of the likes of Ravi Ratnayake and co, who were mediocre at best.

Blueprint for Eelam Thursday, 9 May 2013 - 6:10 PM SL Time

No Sinhala Only.
No standardiation.
No disenfranchisement.
No land grabbing colonisation.
No war crimes.
No need to hide pottu or kottu kottu saram.
No need to talk in whispers.
I think this has a better chance of succeeding than getting on a boat to Australia.
Lets go there.

My Queen didn`t disappoint Tuesday, 7 May 2013 - 7:05 PM SL Time

Queen Elizabeth II is not coming to Colombo!

In spite of being offered a free Mihinair ride to the Mahinda Rajapakse Airport where she can indulge in bird watching, and a tour of stolen airports where the Veerayas bask in the glory of tiger ingenuity, in spite of being offered a free mosquito coil and net, our dear leader the Queen is not coming to see suduputha and his rathu shawl mahathaya.

Yeahei!

Sinhalayas worried as China turns to Hinduism Monday, 6 May 2013 - 6:19 PM SL Time

Steve Anderson
Friday 03 May 2013

In London we have the Gherkin and the Cheesegrater, so-called for the skyscrapers` physical resemblance to their namesakes.
So one must wonder what the people of China will begin to call the headquarters of the state newspaper, the People`s Daily, that recently popped up in Beijing.
With its imposing oblong structure and rounded conical top, the tower has drawn more than a few comparisons with a certain part of the male anatomy.

All in a days work - Did she speak? Thursday, 2 May 2013 - 8:33 PM SL Time

There was a glum customer who wouldn`t speak at all. So I told him this story. I liked it so much that I told it to three others (all sudhas) on two occasions, in two days. They enjoed it very much.

So I am telling this here.

King Vikramaditya got a boon from Goddess Kali that he will rule for 32 years. He extended it to 64 years by taking sabbatical for 6 months every year. In that 6 months he will go to other countries dressed s a commoner. He usually returns to Ujjain, his capital, with at least one new wife each time.

Friends, Learn Tamil and imbibe in it`s beauty.

All the Tamil quislings who trusted that Mahinda will `deliver` ended up like this. But they seem to be blissfully unaware of their plight.

83 revisited Monday, 22 April 2013 - 6:34 PM SL Time

For those who did not experience `83, this is what it would have been like. Imagine yourself at the receiving end?

That will help you to understand why some Tamils are very bitter.

BTW it must be very hard being a minority in a Theravada country. They will tolerate dictatorships and military juntas but not the ethnic minorities. What is wrong?

Stupid Ma police Friday, 19 April 2013 - 10:30 PM SL Time

There were so many State police cars parked next to each other, packing the street. How can they give chase without crashing into each other. The suspect can easily take out many of them together...
And now they re all leaving (reversing and turning slowly).
Stupid Boston Police.

And rather than calming down the gunman, CNN is continuously saying he has nothing to lose and he will go in a blaze of glory. Now if he is watching, he will be pressurised to live up to that.

Incredible stupidity.

Colombo to host international marathon Tuesday, 16 April 2013 - 6:31 PM SL Time

Srilanka has offered to be the venue for all the world`s marathons.

Marathondi Kalabalasooriya the army spokesman told a news conference that Srilanka is the only country that can offer safe passage to all marathon runners. `We have the Muslims under our thumb` said Kalabalasooriya. `We have beaten them into submission by targeting their food and their business enterprises. When the Tamils raised their voice we killed them all. We are the gold standard when it comes to dealing with minorities.`

Buddha shot dead Wednesday, 10 April 2013 - 6:58 PM SL Time

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01rqhw3

To mark the fourth anniversary of the ending of Sri Lanka`s civil war, in May 2009, translator Lakshmi Holmstr m introduces some of the most powerful Tamil poetry to emerge from the 26 year long conflict, in which an estimated 70,000 people were killed as militant Tamil Tigers fought to establish a separate Tamil state in the north of the island.

These poems bear witness to the atrocities committed by both sides and reflect on some of the war`s most significant turning points, from the deadly introduction of female suicide bombers to the final bloody showdown on a beach near Jaffna, where government forces conclusively defeated the Tamil Tigers.
