Subramanian Swamy
Following time at the Indian Statistical Institute, he was awarded a doctorate by Harvard University in 1965 aged 26. Two of his advisors at the time were Simon Kuznets and Paul A. Samuelson. For a time, while completing his dissertation in 1963, he worked in the Economics cell of the UN Secretariat. He subsequently worked as a resident tutor at Lowell House, and as an assistant professor for the Harvard Economics department. Subsequently he has been a regular lecturer at the Harvard Summer School.
He is staunch Hindutva politician.He First came into spotlight for protesting against the emergency imposed in 1975. He was one of the founding members of the Janata Party and is its president since 1990. He was elected member of parliament 5 times between 1974 and 1999.
