[[ Bala/thalapath fish is some times gives food poisoning due to these fish banks eating poisonous food and getting infected themselves. should be cooked with lid open and with spices like turmeric added to clean up the fish ]]
Sri Lanka does not eat RAw fish or half cooked - fish.
WE add spices which have anti-microbial properties and we cook which kill microbial pathogens.
Probably, both of those were not sufficient or Fish came polluted water.
