After my recent experiences in Jaffna - during most sacred time, I feel strongly that neither the government nor the Tamils have real need. We need to look after those who truly care about us and have faith in us and who uphold our investment in law and order for their group. That is real Dharma.
Below is the closing paragraph of my letter to the President of Sri Lanka: 28 August 2008 [Your Excellency, this morning around 5.40 a.m., I had a near fatal experience when I was on my way to Nallur temple most of the way being allegedly guarded by your troops. The experience has shaken me up quite strongly and I am seeking the real message from Nallur Murugan. I am wanting to share this with my International family through my Australian government. Neither you nor the Tamil community here protected me from that danger. I am too emotional about it all right now and am being comforted by my family in Australia to whom I am very valuable.
