Do we need all this? there is a court order and he should be arrested..if this is the law & order in the country..what can people expect later after this war is over.
[Media rights groups and civil society organizations are organizing a protest campaign in Colombo tomorrow (Aug. 21st) to demand the immediate arrest of Minister Mervyn Silva for continuously targeting the media. Organized by the Five Media, the demonstration begins at noon in front of the Fort Railway Station. Police have failed to arrest the minister and his thugs despite several court orders, organizers pointed out. Police were ordered to act against him following his storming Rupavahini Corporation and assaulting its news director and for two separate attacks against Sirasa TV journalists this month.
